Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified contractors interested in providing offers for pre-fabricated shelters at various locations identified above. The shelters shall meet the following basic specifications: 1. Fiberglass exterior surface over exterior plywood FAA Orange & White paint covering 2. Electrical consists of 100-150 Amp, fused disconnect, panel board-main lug only, and surge arrestor. 3. ?? inch plywood on all interior walls with FRP covering 4. Two to Three ground plates-Main & Multi-point and supplemental grounds 5. 2X4 walls on 8-inch centers 6. Window type air conditioning unit(s) and wall mounted heating unit or Bard units as specified. 7. 2X6 roof structure with 12-inch centers 8. GFI outlet mounted near door within shelter 9. 2 ?? inch plywood sheet over framework in floor 10. External hoods over fan, vent and door 11. Interior lighting-fluorescent with emergency light fixture 12. Exterior light with photo eye The size of shelter to be delivered to each location will be included in the Request for Proposal along with any location unique options such as electrical upgrades, environmental options and flight check antenna All work shall be accomplished according to the drawings and specifications that will be provided. 1. This effort is a total set-aside for Small Business Concerns 2. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The small business size standard is $31 Million. 3. The estimated bid range for this project is between $200,000 and $250,000 4. Contractor is expected to perform at least 50 % of the manufacturing work associated with this effort utilizing the contractor's own employees. AN OFFEROR MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING GO/NO-GO CRITERIA IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A SOLICITATION PACKAGE: a. Complete and return the attached Business Declaration b. The contractor is required to have manufactured pre-fabricated fiberglass shelters of up to 12'X16'for the Federal Aviation Administration. c. Provide a list of past projects for pre-fabricated shelters to include dollar value, name of agency/facility, point of contact, and phone number. This information will be used to evaluate whether products have been delivered on time and without defects. NOTE: Contractors must have active registration in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before award can be made. Contractors can register at www.ccr.gov/. FAILURE TO SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION WILL DEEM THE REQUEST FOR SOLICITATION AS NON-RESPONSIVE.
