- The Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate Rome NY intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source purchase order under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 with Tolis Group, Inc., 8687 E Via de Ventura, Ste 115, Scottsdale, AZ 85258-3347 for the purchase of the following items: Complete integrated backup rackmount system, 7.5 TB (net) RAID 5, redundant power supplies, SCSI HBA, 150 client licenses, 3 year depot hardware warranty, 1 year software support. Also includes BRUAPP 3 year onsite nextday extended warranty service and BRU server extended support plan, 2 years, for 25 to 149 clients. Though this notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, information received by the response date of this solicitation will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The NAICS code is 334112. Sole Source Justification: AFRL/IFSB requires a disk based backup system to support the Agents Technology Research (ATR) in house program. A disk based system is required as an appropriate tape storage facility is not available. The backup system will be responsible for performing incremental and full backups of the ATR data and system files. In addition, the system will have to backup data from a variety of platforms including Solaris, Linux, MacOS, and MS Windows. The Tolis Group bruApp R7500 is a complete, turn key disk backup system using Linux operating system which can be integrated easily and rapidly with existing ATR hardware and software. It provides client support for all required platforms and can perform unattended backups during off hours through a scheduling mechanism. Tolis is the only known source that offers a complete disk based backup system that supports all required client platforms at a reasonable cost.
