Description

U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting with Esterline Mason Electric Company DBA Janco Switch Products, 13955 Balboa Blvd, Sylmar CA 91342-1084, for Thrust Grip Spare Switch parts, p/n's MS25089-1AL, 407-43124, 407-43115, 407-43116, 407-43117, 407-43118, 973-0090, 993-5017, 996-0039 and 996,0040 to be installed on the MH-47G helicopter, or any other aircraft fielded for USSOCOM. The proposed action is for a commodity purchase for which the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. Firms that feel they can provide this commodity or equal are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date (in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The estimated release date of the solicitation is 6 Aug 2007.
