Description
This is NOT a solicitation announcement and there is NO Request For Proposal (RFP) document. This is a Sources Sought Synopsis only. This synopsis is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of qualified Small Business sources prior to issuing an RFP. The Government is seeking qualified 8(a), HUBZONE, or Small Business sources that are certified by the Small Business Administration relative to NAICS Classification 332999, All Other Miscellaneous Fabricated Meal Product Manufacturing. The applicable size standard is 500 employees. Please respond directly to the fax number or email below if you are a qualified firm. Responses to this sources sought synopsis will be used by the Specialty Center Contracts Offfice at Port Hueneme, CA in making appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, and if the Government plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published in the Federal Business Opportunities website and the NAVFAC E-sol website. The work to be performed supports the efforts of the Navy Hyperbarics and Diving Facilities Program. The general scope of work for this requirement covers all necessary labor and materials to provide hyperbaric facility manufacturing, design, installation, overhaul, testing, removal, demolition, repair and inspection at various Naval facilities worldwide. Firms shall have the necessary experience to be able to provide the full range of hyperbaric manufacturing, installation and repair services. Firms must also be prepared to provide documentation that provides evidence of on-going experience for the past 10 years. The anticipated contracts will be a Firm-Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity multiple award type contracts. The contract term will be a base period of one year and four one year option periods. Awardees will be required to comply with FAR 52.219-14 that requires at least 50 percent of the cost of contract performance by the prime contractor. This notice is to assist the Government in determining potential sources only. This sources sought synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited.
