- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey, Central Region, Geologic Hazards Team has a requirement to acquire two (2) GSM-19 Overhauser Magnetometers with 0.2 second and 1.0 second sampling, GPS triggering, and GPS time stamp input. The minimum requirements are real-time, graphic data display, interactive menu system, 0.02 nT/? Hz sensitivity, +/- 0.1 nT absolute accuracy, 10,000 - 120,000 nT dynamic range, > 10,000 nT/m gradient tolerance, reading storage capacity per 32Mb memory module: M - 1,477,538 readings; B - 5,417,642 readings, Walk Mag - 2,708,820 readings, RS-232 output with comprehensive software. The U.S. Geological Survey considers this specified requirement as a sole source to GEM Systems Inc, 52 West Beaver Creek Rd, Richmond Hill, ON Canada L4B 1L9. The GSM-19 magnetometers are proprietary to Gem Systems Inc. Other interested concerns having the ability to furnish these products at the same cost may submit a capabilities statement to the contracting officer USGS, PO BOX 25046, MS 204, Denver Federal Center, Denver, CO 80225-0046 no later than the closing date of this requirement (08/04/2007) 4:PM MST. All submissions will be evaluated to determine if competitive opportunities exist; if no submissions are received by the above appointed time, the Government will proceed with a noncompetitive award without further notice. This is NOT a request for a quote (RFQ); the Government does not anticipate a written solicitation. This notice and any resulting contract or order conforms to the requirements in place through FAC 2005-04, effective 08 June 2005. No number notes apply.
