- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. No paper copies of this notice will be provided. Solicitation Number F4F5AV7154A001 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-17. This RFQ is being conducted as a commercial item procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR Part 13). NOTICE: This RFQ is unrestricted. All businesses capable of meeting requirements, delivery, and regulatory requirements are encouraged to respond. This RFQ has ten (10) line items: 1) Chevalier brand Precision Hand Feed Surface Grinder (Model FSG-618 M) and specialized options/accessories 2) #B09-0106 Chevalier 6 inch X 18 inch Electromagnetic Chuck, 3) #B23-0901 Chuck Controller, 4) #BL45-0103 Cross feed & Elevating Digital Readout to include double axis installation, 5) #BL48-0102 Variable Spindle Speed by AC frequency Control 460 V, 6) #B17-0101 Combination coolant & dust collector, 7) #B19-0102 Splash guard & Nozzle, 8) #B15-0102 Wheel balancing stand, 9) quantity of 10 (ten) #B05-0101 Wheel Hubs, including 10) machine set-up, start-up, and training on operation, controls, readout and safety. ONLY CHEVALIER BRAND EQUIPMENT WILL BE ACCEPTATED, SEE ATTACHED BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION. Delivery is required within eight (8) weeks from date of contract award. The System shall be fully functional and stand-alone; delivered to AFIT/ENY 2950 Hobson Way Wright-Patterson AFB OH 45433-7765. FOB point is Destination (Wright-Patterson AFB OH). Quoted prices must be delivered (FOB Destination) prices. Evaluation will be based on overall best value. The binary evaluation factors are price, technical experience, past performance, and delivery time. Quotations shall address the evaluation factors listed and include the line items set forth for Chevalier brand equipment. The Government shall make a complete evaluation and appraisal of the offering with regard to understanding of the requirement. All information identified in the quote must be reasonably available to the Contracting Officer. THE CONTRACTING OFFICER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOCATING OR OBTAINING ANY INFORMATION NOT IDENTIFIED IN THE QUOTE. The Government will make an award from this Request for Quotation (RFQ) to a responsible contractor whose offer is most advantageous to the Government.
