Description

Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Boston Healthcare System, 150 South Huntington Ave, Boston, MA--Intent to sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source with RB Allen Company, PO Box 770, North Hampton, NH, for upgrading the existing fire alarm system manufactured by Edwards Service a division of GE Security. The government has determined that only one small business EST certified and factory trained company can satisfy the agency's requirement and intends to negotiate with with only one source. NAICS code 561621 Size $11.5 million applies to this procurement. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any company that determines it can meet the requirements specified above may give written notification through e:mail to Contract Specialist, leanne.daniels@va.gov by July 27, 2007, 2:00PM EST. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement at no cost or obligation to the government. All responses received will be evaluated by the government, however the information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no responses are received the VA Boston Healthcare System will precede to sole source the requirement to RB Allen Company.
