Description: It is the purpose of this work to secure the services of a winged subsoilier(s) and tractor(s) with operators for subsoiling activities to alleviate soil compaction on an estimated 407 acres in previously harvested areas. Contractor is limited to not more than two subsoilers/tractor/operator machines without Government approval for additional machines. The work is located on the Deschutes National Forest, Crescent Ranger District. Solicitation packages will be available for free download at www.fedbizopps.gov. The anticipated issuance date of the solicitation is August 6, 2007 with quotes due C.O.B. August 21, 2007. Estimated start work date is September 1, 2007.
