- The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has a project entitled Repair Laboratory Roof at USDA-ARS-MWA, Dairy Forage Research Farm, Prairie du Sac, WI. The work includes but is not limited to: furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other necessary work for the repair of the roof. The project includes the installation of a new fluid-applied roofing system and miscellaneous roof repairs to the roof located above the Bldg B - Engineering and Agronomy Laboratories and a portion of the roof located above the Bldg. C - Alleyway at the Dairy Forage Research Center Farm in Prairie du Sac, WI. The fluid-applied roofing system will be applied to approximately 5,500 square feet of roof. The scope shall include all miscellaneous repairs and preparation of the existing metal roof for a complete, proper installed, watertight installation of the new roofing system. The period of performance is 60 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The Magnitude of Construction is estimated between $25,000 to $100,000. SET-ASIDE: This acquisition will be procured as a full and open competition under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsible Businesses may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS code is 238160 and the annual size standard is 13 million. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-18. Solicitation No. AG-5114-S-07-AA16 is scheduled for uploading on or about August 6, 2007. The solicitation will be posted on the FedBizOpps website at www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. It is the responsibility of the contractor to check the website for the solicitation, as well as any amendments that may arise. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid. Sealed bids will be due by 2:00 PM on September 5, 2007. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror who submits the lowest bid. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and register or update their registration at the Online Representation and Certification Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
