- This is modification 8 to the synopsis entitled Constellation Space Suit System (CSSS) Solicitation No NNJ06161022R which was posted on August 2, 2006. You are notified that the Government is (1) posting the Draft RFP, (2) announcing the Pre-proposal Conference, and (3) announcing One-on-One Communications with Industry. (1) The Draft RFP is hereby released. Comments on the Draft RFP are due to the Contracting Officer, in writing, no later than August 17, 2007. (2) Pre-proposal Conference: The CSSS Pre-proposal Conference will be held on Monday, July 30, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 p.m., Central Standard Time (CST), at the Gilruth Recreational Center, Alamo Ballroom, adjacent to NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston, TX. Goals of the Pre-proposal Conference: a. Promote competition, subcontracting, and contractor teaming opportunities on the proposed CSSS acquisition strategy. b. Provide Industry an opportunity to gain further insight into the Draft RFP terms and conditions, requirements, selection criteria, and use of cost templates for proposal development. c. Provide Industry an opportunity to ask questions of the Source Evaluation Board (SEB) members with regard to the Draft RFP contents. Registration Requirements: Interested parties are requested to RSVP no later than 4:30 p.m., CST, Wednesday, July 25, 2007 by e-mail to the Contracting Officer, Jim Gips at: jsc-csss_seb@mail.nasa.gov. Interested parties are limited to four attendees per company or eight attendees per team. The RSVP should include the following information: a) Please use the following subject line: ?CSSS Pre-proposal Conference RSVP?. b) Include the Point of Contact?s name, phone number, and company. c) Include the names of all the attendees from your company. A question and answer (Q&A) period will follow at the end of the Pre-proposal Conference presentation. Oral questions may be answered, however this event is an open exchange with Industry and no answers given will be considered official or binding on the part of the Government. The Government expects that verbal questions received from Industry will be followed up in writing. Questions submitted in writing will be answered and posted to NAIS and the procurement website and will be official responses. If a difference exists between verbal and written responses to questions, the written responses shall govern. Directions to the Gilruth Center: As you are heading South on I-45, turn Left on Bay Area Boulevard. Proceed approximately 3 miles on Bay Area Boulevard until you come to Space Center Boulevard. Turn Right on Space Center Boulevard. Proceed approximately 2 miles on Space Center Boulevard through two stop lights. Turn Right into the Johnson Space Center Gilruth Center. Proceed to the Gilruth Building parking lot. Enter the Gilruth Building front door. The Alamo Ballroom will be on your left. (3) One-on-One Communications with Industry: To facilitate further open communications with industry, interested parties are invited to meet with NASA/JSC CSSS SEB members. Information concerning topics that may be discussed and those that will not be discussed during these meetings has been posted on the CSSS procurement website, http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/csss/ The SEB has scheduled the Lone Star Room in the Gilruth Center for July 30, 2007 from 1:00PM to 5:00PM (CST) for One-on-One meetings. Also, Building 111 has been reserved for the morning of July 31, 2007. Meetings are limited to one hour. If the times mentioned above will not meet your schedule, you may schedule One-on-One meetings at the convenience of the PDT between July 31, 2007 and August 17, 2007. Please contact Jim Gips as soon as possible to reserve a time for One-on-One meetings. Interested parties are limited to four attendees per company or eight per team. The request for a meeting should include the same information as the RSVP for the Pre-proposal Conference. Directions to Building 111: As you are heading South on I-45, turn Left on Bay Area Boulevard. Proceed on Bay Area Boulevard until you come to Saturn. Turn Right on Saturn. Turn Left into Johnson Space Center at Gate1, which is the first gate. Buildings 110 and 111 are immediately to the Right of the Guard Station. Turn Right into the parking lot at the Guard Station. Building 111 is the building at the far end of the parking lot. Potential offerors are reminded to continually monitor the CSSS Technical Library as documents will be added without notification. Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
