Description

: The contractor shall provide safe, operable vehicles to be driven by Department of the Army Personnel and to be used to transport personnel and mail. Vehicles must be equipped with automatic transmission (Preferred) or manual transmission, power steering, power brakes, seatbelts, rear view mirrors, windshield wipe rs, parking brake, horn and require unleaded fuel or diesel fuel. The storage cargo compartment must have hard sides and no windows. All trucks, to include replacement vehicles are required to have appropriate mechanism to allow the container to be seale d/locked. This is to ensure that all US Registered Mail can be delivered, as required by the US Postal regulations. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are b eing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Access to full solicitation information is through Army Single Face to Industry under this solicitation number.
