- The U.S. Geological Survey, Patuxent Wildlife Research Center, located in Beltsville, Maryland has an opportunity to acquire logistical and field support for satellite telemetry fieldwork in China in support of an international program to determine the risks of highly pathogenic avian influenza within the epicenter of infection. The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Computer Network Information Center (CNIC) is the lead institute within CAS with authority to conduct research regarding avian influenza within China. The USGS intends to award a noncompetitive procurement to the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. Other interested concerns having the ability to furnish these services may submit a capabilities statement to the contracting officer no later than the closing date of this requirement (07/31/2007) 4:00 PM Eastern Time. All submissions will be evaluated to determine if competitive opportunities exist; if no submissions are received by the above appointed time, the Government will proceed with noncompetitive award without further notice. This is NOT a Request for Quote (RFQ); the Government does not anticipate issuing a written solicitation. No number notes apply.
