SOLICITATION NO. 301817Q311 PROJECT TITLE: Unit 18 Firebreak Project Through Brush and mixed hardwoods PROJECT LOCATION: U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge Zimmerman, Minnesota PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Project consists of: This project consists of clearing a firebreak through brush and mixed hardwoods at the Refuge. Although the trees to be removed are not prime commercial harvest material there may be some that are more than 75 years in age. Overall length of the required firebreak project has been measured at approximately 9,820 feet. Clearing and removal will be limited to mechanical methods, whether by machine or manual (No chemical or biological or fire methods will be used on this job). SOCIOECONOMIC PROGRAMS: See Note 1. The proposed contract is 1005 set aside for small business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 113310, Logging with a size standard of $6.5 Million. Solicitation (RFQ) package will be available via electronic commerce at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and http://www.fedbizopps.gov on approximately July 31, 2007 with Quotes due on or about August 17, 2007. A Hard Copy of the RFQ Package will not be mailed unless specifically requested. The Solicitation package includes: A Scope of Work, and prevailing wage determination. Please ensure you have down loaded the completed RFQ Solicitation Package before submitting your quote.
