- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a contract to the National Foundation for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 50 Hurt Plaza Ste 765, Atlanta, GA 30303. The authority for this sole source procurement is FAR 6.301-5. The contractor shall, unless otherwise specified, shall collaborate with the CDC for the study entitled ?An Early Childhood Mortality Study using a Newborn Blood Spot Screening Test for Severe Combined Immunodeficiency Disorder (SCID). The period of peformance is one year from date of award. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days of the publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining to conduct a competitive procurement.
