Description: THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEM FOR MACK PINE THINNING. SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH THIS NOTICE. The project consists of precommercial tree thinning and improvement activities of approximately 518 acres on the Idaho City Ranger District, Boise National Forest. The Forest Service is in need of precommercial tree thinning and stand improvement activities to reduce the tree density and, by the deliberate selection of leave trees, improve the overall health and condition of the stand based on the prescribed objectives. NAICS code: 115310. Size Standard: $6.5 Million. Estimated start date is August 25, 2007 with completion by November 1, 2008. See numbered note #1.
