- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation shall be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil/). The RFQ number is N00244-07-T-0642. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-18 and DFARS Change Notice 20070531. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: www.acqnet.gov/far and http://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/dfars/index.htm. The NAICS code is 334511 and the Small Business Standard is 750 employees. This is a sole source action with Marine Son ic Technology LDT, White Marsh, VA. The components consist of critical features and will be used on current REMUS vehicles and must be compatible with the existing equipment and will require integration support. The Sea Scan PC System will be mounted on an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) to perform hydrographic surveys and search, classify, and map (SCM) missions in littoral waters. The REMUS is equipped with an integrated side scan sonar system. This system is comprised of a computer stack, electronics, and sonar transducers designed to mount directly on the hull of an AUV. The system also includes Sea Scan PC Software for generating and viewing the side scan sonar imagery. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, Detachment Seal Beach is in need for: CLIN 0001-1 each 2010-05 Sea Scan PC systems PC/104 1/O card with software License, CLIN 0002-1 each 2233-TBD Sea Scan PC Dual Frequency Transducer Electronics Module, CLIN 0003-2 each Dual Frequency Transdu cer Module, CLIN 0004-1 each Non Recurring Engineering (NRE) to mount transducers on 18? dia vehicle hull penetration. FOB destination delivery to the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA 93940. Estimated delivery is 45 days. Central Contractor Registration. Quoters are reminded to include a completed copy of 52.212-3 ALT I with quotes. All clauses shall be incorporated by reference in the order. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within five days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. Quoters must be registered in the CCR database. Registration is free and can be completed on-line at http://www.ccr.g ov/. In addition, quoters shall complete an electronic Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).
