Description
Thermogravimetric Analyzer With Mass Flow Control Solicitation No. 2007-4431-012 The USDA, ARS, Mid South Area, National Biological Control Laboratory intends to procure a Thermogravimetric Analyzer with Mass Flow Control. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 2007-4431-012 is being issued as an Invitation for Bid. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. Offerors are to provide a bid for the following: TGA Performance Temperature Range: ambient to 1000 ?aC Isothermal Temperature Accuracy: ??1?XC Isothermal Temperature Precision: ??0.1?XC Heating Rate Range: 0.1 to 100?XC/min in 0.01?XC/min increments (standard furnace) 0.1 to 50?XC/min in 0.01?XC/min increments (EGA furnace) Weighing Capacity: 1.0 grams Sensitivity: 0.1 ??g Weighing Precision: ?? 0.01% Instrument Features TGA must include digital mass flow control. Flow rate must be programmable within operating software, and deliverable as a saved signal in the data file. Mass flow controllers must also allow for automated gas-switching during an experiment. TGA must employ horizontal purge gas flow to minimize buoyancy effects from purge gas and for direct output to off gas analysis. TGA must employ push button automatic loading and unloading of sample pan. Operator does not have to hang pan on wire in normal use. Various Features Ability to modify a run in progress, including the ability to add segments to an active run. Vertical balance design with automated furnace closing and experiment initiation in one keystroke. Equipment Line Items: UNIT NO. Bid prices shall include all necessary labor, parts, materials, and transportation necessary to delivered FOB Destination a Thermogravimetric Analyzer with Mass Flow Control to USDA, ARS, National Biological Control Laboratory, Located at 59 Lee Road, Stoneville, MS 38776. This contract incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text.
