Description
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Supply and deliver Prefabricated Removable Floating Dock DOCUMENT TYPE: Combined Synopsis/Solicitation This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number is AG-03J1-S-07-0039 and this requirement is being issued as a Request for Quotations. The procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) number is 423990 ? small business size standard is 100 employees. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Stability: Supports minimum weight of 60 lbs per square foot, dock maintains freeboard with people loading their boats with equipment; minimally affected by waves or wind; dock without live weight floats level. Modular Design: Can add or remove sections to meet needs; sections easily attachable; when attached, dock floats as a unit; however if struck accidentally buy a slow moving boat, the dock will take impact without breaking; connectors are rust resistant. Capacity: Dock provides slips to hold six medium sized boats. Each slip is estimated to be 20? X 20? and hold two boats. Durability: Dock and walkway require minimum maintenance; materials will withstand sun, water, and traffic without the need to paint or resurface for 10 years. Anchoring: Simple and easy to anchor; holds dock in place during strong winds or waves. Width: Dock and walkway come in at least 4-foot widths. INSPECTION: Inspection will be done when delivered to the Dickey Lake site by either Guenter Heinz or Charles Gondeiro. The floating dock shall pass inspection prior to acceptance.
