Description
NASA/ARC has a requirement for twenty-four (24) additional channels for an existing high speed waveform digitizer system. The existing 8 channel system was supplied by Spectral Dynamics Inc. and includes the following components. 1. Two (2) ZTEC ZT-412-51 Digitizers (4 Ch, 200 MS/s, 16 bit, VXI format) 2. One (1) VXI rack mount chassis with 13 slots 3. VXI-1394 FireWire slot 0 VXI Controller 4. IMPAX SD-LAB Software The additional channels shall integrate seamlessly with the existing system hardware and IMPAX-SD-LAB software. All features available with the additional channels shall be accessible from IMPAX-SD-LAB. Eight (8) of the additional channels shall be identical to the eight existing channels. We therefore require: 1. Two (2) ZTEC ZT-412-51 Digitizers (4 Ch, 200 MS/s, 16 bit, VXI format) The remaining sixteen (16) additional channels shall have the following specifications: 1. Up to 5 MS/s per channel sampling rate ( no interleaving) 2. Programmable full scale input ranges from +/- 0.01 V to +/- 5 V at 1 Mohm single ended and 2 Mohm differential. 3. 16 bit resolution 4. Waveform memory of 16 MS/channel 5. Digital and analog filtering 6. Single width C size VXI module format 7. 8 Channels per module 8. Internal and external triggering with pre- and post-trigger modes 9. Trigger synchronization between all cards (including ZT-412-51) using local timing bus 10. Dual clock rate recording The vendor shall verify performance of additional channels with the existing hardware and software after installation. NASA/ARC intends to purchase the items from Spectral Dynamics to ensure hardware and software compatibility with the existing system. Spectral Dynamics will also support maintenance and support of the entire system. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on July 19, 2007. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
