Nihoff 717-605-4579 This acquisition is subject to FAR Clause 52.213-18, Availability of Funds. Title: Replace Roof, Building 311, Naval Support Activity, Mechanicsburg, PA Scope of Work: This project involves replacement of the existing built-up roofing material on Building 311A (main building), 311B (cafeteria) and 311C (boiler plant), with a new insulated EPDM roofing system. The building is a timber structure with a roof area approximately as follows: 311A = 56,000 SF, 311B = 12,500 SF and 311C = 3,500 SF, Total Area = 72,000+/- SF. There are seven stair towers slightly raised above the main roof of 311A. Buildings 311B and 311C are single story. Buildings 311A, 311B and 311C are all attached to one another. Building 311A is currently occupied by office. The existing roof is covered with multiple layers of built-up roofing with aggregate ballast. Roofing materials have already been tested for the presence of asbestos and all tests were positive. Roof insulation with an R-value of 20 is specified for the combined roof system. All flashings, rain gutter, rainwater conductors, soffits and fascias are to be replaced with aluminum and roof drains shall be replaced. An access penthouse exists near the middle of 311A. The door and frame from this penthouse onto the roof shall be replaced. Also, a window AC unit in the penthouse shall be removed and reinstalled. The original window opening shall be framed in and covered on the exterior with EIFS to match existing. Estimated Price Range: Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Number of Days in Contract: 180 Number of Bid Items: Basic Bid with Option for Building 305B Bids will be evaluated by adding the Basic Bid and the Option. NAICS Code: 238160 Roofing Contractors $13 Million. Prospective contractors must register in the DOD Central Contractor Registration Database prior to award. Bidders are notified that failure to register may render their firm ineligible for award. Specifications and drawings will not be directly provided in a paper hard copy format or CD-ROM. All prospective bidders are encouraged to register on the above web site for this procurement when specifications and drawings become available. This acquisition shall be Unrestricted with a 10% Evaluation Preference for HUB Zone Small Business.
