Description

This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is issuing a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for repairing fire breaks at three (3) locations at Mississippi Sandhill Crane National Wildlife Refuge. The sites are Gautier Unit, Ocean Springs Unit and Fountainbleau Unit. Work includes the repair and stabilization of approximately 9,000 linear feet of permanent fire breaks in 65 locations. Site visists will be limited to two opportunities. The first one is schedule for 9:00am, Wednesday, July 11, 2007. The second one is scheduled for 9:00am, Friday, July 20, 2007. This is a Small Business Set-Aside, NAICS Code 115310, and the size standard is $6.5 Million.The tentative date for issuance of Request for Quotes (RFQ) is 06/19/07 with a closing date of 07/25/07. A firm fixed price purchase order will be issued with a performance period of 120 days. The RFQ documents will be available electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities Web Site at http://fedbizopps.gov under RFQ 401817Q133. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site for any updates/amendment. Note: Registration with the Fish and Wildlife Service for Electronic Commerce (EC) at the National Business Center (NBC) Web Site will also be required. Prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) and complete the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at http://www.bpn.gov in order to be eligible for award. CCR registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number which can be obtained free of charge from Dun and Bradstreet.
