Description

The US Fish & Wildlife service, Region 7, Anchorage, Alaska, an agency within the US Dept of the Interior plans to modify an award, 701817M055 for commercial items (fuel & parts) which will increase the award over $25,000.00 IAW Far Part 5.203 (b). The current Purchase Order was done as a sole source procurement to Shoreside Petroleum Inc., Whittier, Alaska for unleaded Gasoline, motor oil and small outboard motor parts (spark plugs, filters etc). With this additional $10,000.00 it will make a new total of $30,475.00. This cost increase was unanticipated but due to the number of projects added and assigned to our Region 7 Migratory Bird Management personnel in Prince William Sound, it has been determined that the price of fuel to complete these additional projects will be in excess of $25,000.00. Shoreside Petroleum has been found to be the only fuel vendor in Whittier, Alaska for dockside fueling of boats and commercial vessels. There are no other dockside fueling outlets or businesses in Whittier, Alaska. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and the Government does not intend to evaluate any proposals or offers received. The modiification shall be made 7 days, on or about July 13, 2007, following publication of this notice. See numbered Note 22.
