Description

Within the next 2 months, the Portland VA Medical Center intends to solicit proposals to perform a seismic upgrade on a 25,000 square foot building. The VA needs to determine how many qualified service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses are interested in performing this work. DO NOT REPLY TO THIS NOTICE UNLESS YOUR FIRM IS A SERVICE-DISABLED, VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS!! A brief description of the project is as follows: a) Seismic upgrades to moment frames of a two story steel Butler building b) Seismic upgrades to interior mechanical and electrical such as ducting, conduit and lighting fixtures c) Repaint interior of building d) New flooring throughout interior of building e) Replace two exterior doors with larger doors, one to have automatic opener f) Replace suspended ceiling g) Replace two foot bridges h) Replace a portion of the exterior metal siding i) Replace windows j) Build new clerestory approximately 500 sf k) Replace all exhaust fans l) Provide one new small handwashing sink The estimated price range of the project is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. If your firm is a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business capable of serving as the prime contractor on the above noted project, please submit the following information. a) Your firm's name, address & phone number b) Your firm's current bonding capacity. c) Your firm's specific experience working as the prime contractor on a project of similar scope.
