- Description
- This acquisition is for a Firm Fixed-Price contract to replace the existing Sony PetaSite Tape Library system with a new LTO-4 tape format Near On-Line tape based archive for the American Forces Network-Broadcast Center (AFN-BC), which is part of the Defense Media Center (DMC) located at 23755 Z Street, Riverside, California. The contractor shall design, engineer, furnish, install, test, and commission all hardware, software, ancillary equipment, training, and documentation for two Near On-Line tape based data archives. The applicable NAICS is 334112 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. The solicitation and all applicable attachments will be electronically issued and may be accessed for viewing and downloading on the Government Electronic Posting System (EPS) site at www.fbo.gov. Once the solicitation is posted, it is the responsibility of all interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments that may occur during the solicitation process. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 9 JUL 2007 with a closing date on or about 23 JUL 2007. The Government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation package nor planholder list. Fax, telephone, written or email requests for the solicitation package and planholder will not be honored. All questions concerning this RFP must be submitted in writing 10 calendar days prior to the RFP closing date. NOTE: The solicitation issuance date is an estimate, not an actual, and the actual can be before or after the stated date. The response date cited above does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. The Government reserves the right to cancel this procurement/ solicitation either before or after the RFP closing date, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for contract award.
