Description

THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) will host an Industry Day for the Small Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System/Tier II Unmanned Aircraft System (STUAS/Tier II UAS) program on Friday, 3 August 2007 at the J.T. Daugherty Conference Center located in Lexington Park, MD from 0900 to 1100 hours. The purpose of the event is to provide a status update on the STUAS/Tier II UAS program, inform industry of program requirements, concepts of operation, competition timeline, and technology maturity requirements and to provide a Question & Answer (Q&A)/networking opportunity. As seating is limited to 180 persons, NAVAIR requests attendance be limited to a maximum of three representatives per company. THERE WILL BE NO FURTHER ADMITTANCE ONCE CAPACITY IS REACHED. Attendees are encouraged to arrive beginning at 0830. Presentations will begin promptly at 0900 and will be published in advance on the STUAS/Tier II UAS homepage on the PMA-263 website at http://uav.navair.navy.mil. Clearances are not required to attend this event and all discussions will be unclassified. The Government reserves the right to answer or not answer questions received during the event and reserves the right to publish Q&As as deemed appropriate. The Government will NOT be conducting one-on-one discussions during this event. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. The Navy will NOT assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, attendee cost in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
