Description

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement to interpret geographic names and other appropriate data from primary and secondary Federal, State, and local maps, as well as other maps and textual material identified by the contractor, for the following locations; 1) the western half of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, 2) areas along the east coast of the U.S. from Florida to Delaware, and 3) the State of Alaska. The Government may make one or multiple awards from this solicitation. Request for Proposals (RFP) 07HQSS0022 will be posted on electronic commerce on or about July 9, 2007. The RFP will state the actual deadline for the submission of proposals. Details may be viewed on the Department of Interior Business Opportunities website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. All responsible sources who have a valid Dun and Bradstreet Number may submit a proposal. Offerors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Register by going to www.ccr.gov. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will consist of a one-year contract for the east coast requirements, and four years each for the Kentucky and Alaska requirements. The resulting contract will be firm fixed price for monthly services. The anticipated start date is September 28, 2007. This requirement is unrestricted and the NAICS code is 541370. The solicitation, all related documents and amendments, if any, will only be released and available electronically through the NBC posting system at http://ideasec.nbc.gov/j2ee/login.jsp. As such, no written, telephonic, facsimile or email requests for the solicitation package will be honored. Since this solicitation will only be available electronically, it is solely the responsibility of interested parties to monitor the NBC website for any solicitation amendments. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit an offer.
