Description

THIS PROCUREMENT IS TOTALLY SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES. The Smithsonian Institution (SI) is seeking offers for the replacement of the electrical system at the National Air and Space Museum (NASM), located at 6th Street and Independence Avenue, SW, Washington, DC. The North American Industry Classification is 238210, size standard $13 million. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Smithsonian Institution. The project includes replacement of 15KV switchgear and cables, 480V and 208V distribution system and feeders, branch circuit panels, emergency generator and emergency distribution system, and installation of branch circuit control system including electrically operated circuit breakers, and installation of air conditioning for elevator machine room. This Request for Proposal (RFP) will consist of two parts. Part 1: Technical Proposal in which the Offerors establish their qualifications in accordance with the following Evaluation Standards: (1) Firm's Experience and Past Performance; (2) Plan of Accomplishment and Contract Time; (3)Key Personnel and Subcontractors; and (4) Low to Medium Voltage Electrical Main System Fabricators and Installers. Part 2: Schedule of Values and Contract Price. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award. Registration may be accomplished at www.ccr2000.com/index.cfm or 1-888-CCR-2423. Period of Performance is 720 calendar days from date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
