- Description
- The Corps of Engineers has a need for a contract for Repairs to the Brookville Local Flood Protection Project located within the borough of Brookville, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania on the Redbank, North Fork, and Sandy Lick Creeks. The work consist s of removal of accumulated sediment from the channels of the North Fork, Redbank, and Sandy Lick Creeks, and repair of an 18-inch diameter storm-water drain pipe. The services of a Professional Land Surveyor are required to complete the work. The proj ect also requires the Contractor to furnish all equipment, labor, layout of work, and supervision to remove sediment in river channels at designated locations to a previous condition. As shown or directed, the project channel shall be restored to the origi nal cross sectional design template by removing sediment and debris. Deposited sediment and miscellaneous debris shall be removed from the channel to restore a consistent cross-section and reduce flow irregularities. A failed portion of 18-inch diameter vi trified clay pipe shall be replaced. Surveying services will be provided. The period of performance for the Base period will be 180 calendar days. Magnitude of the project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This procurement will be 100% set aside fo r HubZone contractors. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued June 26, 2007, on-line only through FedTeDS; therefore, requests for hardcopies of the specifications and drawings will not be honored. Requests must be made by registering for this so licitation through FedTeDS at http://www.fedteds.gov. Once registered, vendors, plan rooms and printing companies will be able to download the solicitation and drawings on or after the above issuance date.
