- Description
- The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System has a requirement to update the cable television services at University Drive C Division, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the coaxial cable installation upgrades of the Cable TV System in Building One of the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS), University Drive C, Pittsburgh, PA 15240 in accordance with contract drawings and specifications. Work shall include general and electrical construction provisions for installation of new coaxial cable to designated locations throughout the building for distribution of cable to designated locations for distribution of cable television broadcasts. All work shall be done during normal work hours, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with minimal disruption of service. Work also requires working around ICRA requirements in a hospital setting around patients and staff. Construction cost range per VAAR 836-204 is between $100,000 and $250,000. The applicable NAICS code is 238210 with a small business standard of $13 million. Specifications, drawings, and forms for submitting a bid will be available to interested parties for downloading on or about July 9, 2007 through electronic data interchange at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copy requests of solicitation must be in writing and submitted to Kathleen Policicchio (04A1-H), VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for July 18, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in the Facility Management Conference Room (AN216) at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive C, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. NOTE: All offerors are encouraged to attend the Pre-Bid Conference. Questions must be submitted to the Contracting Officer by e-mail to Kathleen.Policicchio@va.gov or by fax to 412-365-5444. Questions will be accepted by the Contracting Officer until close of business seven (7) calendar days after the pre-bid (7-25-07) and responses will be provided to all interested parties in the form of an amendment to the solicitation. Questions received later than seven (7) calendar days after the Pre-Bid Conference will not be addressed in the interest of adhering to the scheduled bid-opening date. Bid opening will be on or about August 9, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. EST. All respondents must be registered in the CCR data base. Web address is http://www.ccr.gov and may be completed online.
