Description
Sources Sought Public Address (PA) Emergency Broadcast Systems (EBS) Computer Network Alerting System Upgrade The Air Force ISR Agency is currently seeking sources for a potential requirement for the enhancement of the Public Address, Emergency Broadcasting System, and the Computer Network Alerting system throughout the Agency?s primary facility. This is a Sources Sought Synopsis only. This is not a solicitation announcement. This synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the AF ISR agency to an ultimate acquisition approach. No contract will be awarded from this announcement and requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis is strictly voluntary. This Sources Sought Synopsis is in support of a market survey being conducted by the AF ISR Agency to determine potential sources capable of fulfilling all requirements associated with supporting the installation or upgrade and maintenance of the Public Address, Emergency Broadcast System, and Computer Network Alerting System. Responses must be submitted electronically to Gary Whitney, Contracting Specialist at gary.whitney@lackland.af.mil by 4:00PM Central Daylight Time on 02 Jul 2007. In the event that electronic submission is not possible, responses can be forwarded in hard copy to the following address: AF ISR Agency/A7KA, Attn: Gary Whitney, 102 Hall Blvd, Suite 258, San Antonio, TX. 78243. If responses are mailed, they must be received by 02 Jul, 07. No phone calls will be accepted. Background: The existing Public Address system and Emergency Broadcast system needs to be upgraded to provide 100% coverage of offices, hallways, and common areas for immediate notification of high priority information, alerts, and guidance. The system must provide a venue to supply cover music in the common areas and offices to provide a source of masking sound attenuation. The volume controls that are located in the office and common areas should have the ability to be energized for emergency broadcast regardless of switch position. The system should be able to alert personnel with a preparatory warning signal prior to the actual announcement. Equipment needs to be located conveniently for maintenance, but should be housed to prevent tampering. The system needs to provide an integration capability to provide computer alert notification to the PA system to supply one stop notification process. The system needs to have a backup power system in the event of a power failure.
