The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Coordinating Center for Infectious Diseases (CCID), National Center for Infectious & Repsiratory Diseases (NCIRD), Influenza Division (ID) is in need of a DNA assembly program used in the compiling of data in order to obtain a gene sequence. The government has determined that the Sequencher program will perform all of the functions the CDC requires. To qualify for this procurement a bidder must be able to deliver a ?Brand Name or Equal? DNA assembly program having the following salient characteristics, capabilties and features: Ability to import from ABI, Beckman, CEQ, Megabase, and LI-COR sequencing instruments with visualization of raw data; Ability to import new confidence scores in a variety of formats; Ability to detect heterozygotes from electropherogram data.; Restriction Enzyme Analysis; Vector and Transposon Screening; Reference Sequence, a powerful feature useful in comparative sequencing, phylogenetic studies, mutation studies, forensic analysis; Variance Table, summarizes all differences, validates your data; and ?Assembly By Name,? names and automates contig assembly which decreases potential for human error. Based on the mandatory capabilities listed above and the government?s requirement for immediate performance, the CDC plans to award a noncompetitive contract action to GeneCodes Company; if, however, you believe you can deliver a ?Brand-Name-or-Equal? DNA assembly program possessing all of the mandatory capabilites with an immediate delivery schedule, you may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation to the Contract Specialist Ms. Bonnie Kennedy at bskennedy@cdc.gov no later than 29 June 2007.
