Description
This modification to the Request for Information (RFI) represents a re-write of the previously published Sources Sought Market Survey Notice to identify qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses with the capabilities to perform various design-build and general construction projects for VA Medical Centers Long Beach, Loma Linda, Greater Los Angeles, and San Diego, California. A Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) is defined as: (1) a small business concern (i) not less than 51 percent of which is owned by one or more service-disabled veterans or, in the case of any publicly owned business, not less than 51 percent of the stock of which is owned by one or more service-disabled veterans: and (ii) the management and daily business operations of which are controlled by one or more service-disabled veterans or, in the case of a veteran with permanent and severe disability, the spouse or permanent caregiver of such a veteran (2) Service-disabled veterans means a veteran, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(2) with a disability that is service-connected, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101 (16). Interested firms must be registered on the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website (http://www.ccr.gov/) and the VetBiz Vendor website (http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/). This notice does not constitute nor restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach; however, the information gathered will support acquisition planning efforts. Related solicitation(s), if issued, will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 36. NAICS code 236220 applies. At this time, however, there is no solicitation to be issued. Project costs will generally range between $100,000 and $10 million. Specific cost range categories are as follows: Less than $25,000; Between $25,000 and $100,000; Between $100,000 and $250,000; Between $250,000 and $500,000; Between $500,000 and $1,000,000; Between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000; Between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000; Between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000; Interested firms having the qualifications, skills, and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought. Responses from potential sources must include the following information and are limited to 5 pages or less: 1. General information of the company name, address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address(s), DUNS number, and company web site. 2. Number of projects your company can effectively manage concurrently within a given cost range category. 3. Previous experience in hospital construction and whether projects were design-build or general construction. 4. Previous experience in VA hospital construction and whether projects were design-build or general construction. 5. Performance and Payment Bonding Capacity - Single project, aggregate, and current available balance. Provide Letter of Commitment from your Surety indicating willingness to Bond. 6. Name which of the above listed VA Medical Centers in California (Long Beach, Loma Linda, Greater Los Angeles, and San Diego) that your firm is able to perform construction projects. 7. Current/permanent presence within a 100 miles radius of the VA Medical Center of interest? If yes, please provide street address(s) for each office.
