Description
The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) at Pascagoula, MS has a requirement for 7 each Marine, motion-compensating scales. All scales will be used aboard NOAA-owned vessels and must be compatible with the Fisheries Scientific Computer System (FSCS). FSCS was developed by the NOAA?s Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO) programmers to automate biological data collection onboard NOAA ships. The following minimum specifications are required: 3 each Scales, Marine, motion-compensating, 15kg minimum capacity and 30kg maximum capacity with 100gram resolution and the other minimum specifications that are shown below: 4 each Scales, Marine, motion-compensating, 3kg minimum capacity and 6kg maximum capacity with 1gram resolution and the other minimum specifications that are shown below: MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS THAT APPLY TO ALL SCALES: - FSCS compatible (see above) - all weights provided in kilogram units - comply with IEC standard 529 and IP standard 67 or better - capable of calibration in marine environment under unstable conditions - all exposed surfaces constructed of AISI 316 stainless steel - utilize Universal Power Supply, 110 VAC to 230 VAC - overload protection to prevent scale damage from overloading scales - serial input/output capability with RS-232 bi-directional interface, 4800 baud rate, 8 data bits and no parity check - transmit data stream as ?>>> ww.www? where ww.www is the measured weight. (i.e. three greater-than symbols, one blank space, then the weight measurement) - scale comprised of weighing platform with output display attached by pillars that are 365 mm high, at a minimum - weighing platform maximum dimensions of 396mm wide, 440mm deep, and 456mm high (for bench top applications) - output display shall provide digital reading - operational temperature range of -10? to 40?C (14? to 104?F) - scale MUST only send data when activated by a push-button/Print button (scale cannot send automatic weights via RS-232, it must be user-controlled to work with FSCS software) - scale platform should be removable for ease of cleaning - scale should allow user to enter a tare weight into the scale through a Tare key on the display panel - scale should allow user to zero the scale via a zero key from display panel - scale must provide error codes to user via the display should a problem with scale operation be encountered - scale must be outfitted with standard 3 prong US plug This is a small business set-aside.
