Description
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), Office of Pesticides Programs (OPP), anticipates conducting a full and open competition to award multiple indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity fixed rate contracts with time and material task orders for disinfectant efficacy testing and formulation chemistry analyses of EPA registered antimicrobial products. Due to homeland security issues, state laboratories are being targeted. These contracts are anticipated to have a one-year base period with four (4) one-year option periods for a total potential period of performance of sixty (60) months. The applicable North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 541380 "Testing Laboratories" with a size standard for small businesses of $6.5 million. The formal solicitation is not available at this time, however it is currently anticipated to be released on or about 6 July 2007. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after release of the formal solic itation. This procurement will provide support in the areas of efficacy testing, evaluation, and analysis of approximately 150 antimicrobial products within a twelve month period. These assessments will aide in the continuation of the post-registration testing program of pesticides registered under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), in addition to acquiring services , namely, performing disinfectant analyses to support the Agency?s ability to respond to bio-threat agents and emerging pathogens, especially those that could trigger nationally significant events. The formal solicitation, amendments, procurement updates and other related information and items will be posted on the Internet and downloadable from the following website, http://www.epa.gov/oamhpod1/oppts_grp/0711925/index.htm as they become available. Interested parties are advised to periodically monitor the above website for updates concerning this procurement. Telephonic requests or inquires will NOT be taken. If Internet capability is unavailable, interested parties must submit an E-mail or written verification stating this fact to Rebecca Hindin at hindin.rebecca@epa.gov or Robert Minjack at minjack.robert@epa.gov so that hard copies of downloadable information may be provided.
