Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport has a requirement to evaluate the evolving fidelity of multi-platform, multi-source 3-dimensional characterizations of ocean environments using seismic exploration software developed by Dynamic Graphics Inc. Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport intends to award on a sole source basis a firm fixed price contract to Marine Research Corporation. Marine Research Corporations experience in applying the 3-dimensional differencing algorithms associated with tension-release models for statistical evaluation of ocean environments characterized by mixed, mobile sensors provides a unique and potentially very effective approach to developing and validating rapid on-scene AUV survey datasets for tactical applications. Marine Research is the only company with demonstrated experience using seismic exploration software developed by Dynamic Graphics Inc, that can perform this effort within the time period required. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room.
