Description
I2WD is requesting information on GMTI radars for application on a tethered aerostat platform operating at ranges of 1000 to 5000ft AGL. The tether will include a fiber optic cable. The critical performance metric is an update rate of 1 Hz over at l east a 120-degree sector with full 360-degrees desired. The detection range should be at least 15km, but 30km is desired for an un-obscured moving dismount (or ground vehicle). Weight of the system should be no more than 200 lbs., but 50 lbs. is desired. Power allocation is 1500 watts in either three-phase, 115VAC, 400Hz, or 28VDC. The intent of this RFI is to gather information to support a rapid acquisition decision. Only information on systems/concepts with existing hardware and reasonable maturity ar e requested. Interested parties are encouraged to electronically submit a technical information paper (not to exceed 10 pages total, 12 point font, single line spacing). Acceptable file formats are MS word or Adobe PDF. The Government does not however, intend to pay f or information received. The affiliation and point of contact of the author should be clearly and prominently placed on the title page with technology readiness level (i.e. immediately available or developmental). In addition to a concise description of the capability, papers should include a summary of test results and the conditions the test was performed, an empirical analysis that indicates the expected detection rate and false alarm rate (or similar estimates of performance) with clear stipulation of the underlying conditions and assumptions. You may forward responses to US Army, RDECOM, CERDEC, I2WD, Bldg. 600, Fort Monmouth, NJ, 07703, ATTN: AMSRD-CER-IW-RA (Mr. Thomas) or the following e-mail address: David.Thomas9@us.army.mil. Acknowledgement of receipt will be issued. If you choose to su bmit proprietary information, mark it accordingly. Classified information will be accepted by mail only, but please mark it accordingly and send it via proper channels. Classified information can be sent to US Army, RDECOM, CERDEC, I2WD, Bldg. 600, Fort M onmouth, NJ, 07703, ATTN: Security Office.
