Description
The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting proposals from firms having the capability to perform the work described below. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the NBC web site. Proposal documents will be made available in Microsoft Word and HTML. Bidders wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and http:// FedBizOpps.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the http://ideasec.nbc.gov site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. Proposed Issue Date: June 23, 2007. Title of Project: Administrative History, Knife River Indian Villages NHS, North Dakota. Description: The objective of this project is to produce a comprehensive administrative history for Knife River Indian Villages NHS. This history study is a comprehensive synthesis of primary and secondary source material that is pertinent specifically to Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site. The project will include an oral history program with individuals important in the park's history. The study shall conform to professional standards regarding methodology of historical research and writing. Stylistic, bibliographical, and report production standards shall conform to the current edition of the Chicago Manual of Style. The Administrative History, including oral history interviews, enumerated appendices, maps, and index, shall be completed within one year (12 months) from the date of contract award.The applicable NAICS Code is 519190, small business size standard $6.5 million. Type of Procurement: A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. Period of Performance: Twelve months. Cost range: $25,000 -$100,000. The Request for Proposals (RFP) will be due on or about July 23, 2007. Actual date will be established at the time proposal documents are available. This acquisition is being solicited under the Simplified Acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13 and is reserved exclusively for Small Business concerns. All offers submitted by responsible small business sources will be considered.
