Description
Description of Materials to provide: The Worland Field Office wishes to procure Plastic or Composite Lumber to re-deck the Duck Swamp Bridge. These are the specifications. A. Each board shall have a minimum width of 5-1/2", a minimum thickness of 1-1/2", maximum thickness of 1-3/4" with steel reinforcement, and shall be cut to a length of 6'-2". B. Each board shall be rated for a minimum live load of 100 psi spanning 24-inches. C. Each board shall have a longitudinal grain pattern or texturing on the top side/ walking surface as required by ADA Stipulations. D. The color shall be Tan or Desert Brown (104R 6/3); the color to be approved by the BLM. E. Material will be delivered to the Worland BLM Ware Yard, 1700 Robertson Ave., Worland, WY. 82401, by 2:00PM August 17th, 2007. Notice of intent to deliver shall be given to 48 hours in advance of delivery (307-347-5100). Note: Thickness is important so that the concrete sidewalk and the bridge deck match. The material is to be cut to length to minimize waste necessitated and facilitate construction. At the 5-1/2" width we will need approximately 200 pieces, each cut to 6'2". These materials have been researched and Okayed by Keith Christiansen at NSTC, Structural Bridge Engineer. http://epsplasticlumber.com/ has 2" x 6" x 6+' steel reinforced (actual size 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" and cut to length) . http://www.timbertech.com/default.aspx has a 2" x 6" plank supplied by local vendor where available, will not cut to length. http://www.trimaxbp.com/pages/index.php?pID=99&PHPSESSID=40051f44ab7db4165dfd81b560f057a8.
