Description
TSA seeks to identify sources capable of providing on-site musculoskeletal-related injury prevention training to Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) at Portland International Airport (PDX) located in Portland, Oregon. This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a Sources Sought Notice only. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify interested qualified sources that can provide a solution to the Government's stated needs and requirements. The objective of the injury prevention training is to prevent and reduce the incidence of musculoskeletal injuries sustained while conducting baggage screening operations and related activities. A qualified source must be capable of the following: (1) Travel to PDX to conduct an on-site assessment of TSO baggage screening operations and related activities; (2) Formulation of injury prevention curriculum for the TSOs; (3) Deliver injury prevention training to 50 TSO Supervisors on-site at PDX. TSO Supervisors shall also be trained in how to reinforce the training principles to their employees; (4) Provide injury prevention training on-site at PDX to 500 TSOs in groups of 15-20. The contractor shall be responsible for providing any necessary training materials to all TSO Supervisors and TSOs for their use and retention. The contractor shall be capable of providing this training within a period of three months. Submittal requirements: Interested parties should demonstrate their capability and experience in developing and providing musculoskeletal-related injury prevention training to 550 employees in three months. Respondents are encouraged to provide other information that demonstrates their capability to perform this work. The information requested in this Sources Sought Notice shall not exceed five (5) pages. Responses to this notice must include entity name, address, DUNS number, NAICS code, size standard, name of contact person, contact person's telephone number, and contract person's email address. This Sources Sought Notice does not commit the Government to issue an actual solicitation for these requirements, nor does it commit the Government to make any contract award for these requirements. Information submitted by interested parties will be reviewed in order to determine the competitive market for these requirements. Information submitted will not be used as the basis for award of any contract. Responses to this notice shall be by electronic mail addressed to Sandra.Oliver@dhs.gov. Responses must be time stamped by the receiving DHS server not later than 12:00pm, Eastern Standard Time, June 14, 2007. Responses by any other means will not be accepted.
