Description
Description: The Air Force Medical Operations Agency has a requirement for signage and wayfinding systems and their installation services at the Medical Treatment Facility Buildings 1529 and 1530 located at Scott Air Force Base, IL. Contractor shall procure, receive, store, deliver and install signage and wayfinding items required under this task order in accordance with the specifications based on the instructions, sign specifications, and room numbering guidelines that will be provided. The North American Industry Classification System Number (NAICS) for this service is 33995 and Business Size Standard is 500 in number of employees. The solicitation will be released on 20 June 2007 and the due date is 17 July 2007. Dissemination is limited to electronic medium and no hard copies will be provided. Any amendments issued will also be available through electronic medium. No proprietary products will be accepted-offerors with proprietary products shall be rejected. Interior signage shall be of the design, detail, sizes, types, and message content shown on the Design Drawings and shall conform to the requirements specified. Signs shall be provided and installed as specified complete with lettering/Braille, framing as detailed and all related components for a complete installation. Signs and related materials shall be fabricated by a Sign Contractor regularly engaged in the manufacturing of such products. Signage shall be obtained from a single manufacturer. Sign Contractor is required to work with ¼" thick horizontal brushed aluminum, black GravoTac engraving stock, and Grade II Braille fabricated by using embedded stainless steel beads. Other fabrication requirements are the usage of 1/8" thick clear polycarbonate with routed edges, 1/16" sheet aluminum with a horizontal brushed finish, and 1/8" thick black acrylic. Contract Bid Documents shall include shop drawings, sign location plans in AutoCad, and message schedules that can be adapted for new and old room numbers for review and approval by the Project Team as required. The proposal should also include a physical sample of Sign Type A1, see attachment 1. The production of message schedules will require the Sign Contractor to implement the Room Numbering Guidelines provided and assign a new room number for each room following coordination with the facility. Respond to afmoa.sgsf.contracting@brooks.af.mil by 18 June 2007 to receive initial solicitation. Upon solicitation due date submit proposals with a sign sample. Required items will be accepted by mail. Site-visit is mandatory and will be conducted on 26 June 2007. Attachment: Sign Standards (Sign Type A1 Sample, Sheet Number 3-C.1 - 3)
