Description

Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Vision Research, 100 Dey Road, Wayne, NJ 07470 for 1 each VRI-V5.1-4096MM Phantom V5.1 Monochrome Camera w/4096mb image memory ( 3.32 seconds); 1 each, VRI-HYGE MOD, Modification, HI-G (Any camera); and 1 each VRI-L35NA, Lens, 35mm F/2.0 (F-Mount) AF.. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP)  only one responsible source and no other suppli es or services will satisfy agency requirements. Vision Research is the only U. S. company that offers the Phantom VRI-V5.1. The government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities/qu alifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 0700 hours Central Time Zone on 11 June 2007. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communicati ons are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
