Description

Provide A/E Services for the installation of new HVAC systems and ductwork for the Buildings 224US, Building 211US, and Building 222, at the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics, White City, Oregon. Project involves the installation of new HVAC systems and ductwork in the three (3) buildings shown, and includes the installation of t-bar ceiling and moving existing lighting and sprinklers to accommodate the new suspended ceiling. These buildings currently do not have any or minimal ductwork and so this work would need to include the duct work system and an HVAC system. VA needs to consider energy efficient HVAC models and meeting guidelines for such systems as set forth in LEEDS "Silver" as a minimum. LEEDS certification is not required but striving to meet the standards is essential. Higher level of energy efficient systems will be considered versus capital costs. Estimated construction cost for all three (3) buildings is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. Services will include Phase I involving the preliminary investigative services; Phase II involving the preparation of construction contract drawings and specifications for construction bidding purposes, with electronic format submission after completion of Phase II; and Phase III will be for construction period services during actual construction work. Evaluation factors to be considered will be (1) Specialized experience of the firm with similar contracts; (2) Past record of performance on similar contracts; (3) Geographical location and facilities of the working office; (4) Specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to this project. NAICS: 541310/Size Standard $4.5 million. This is a set aside for small, emerging veteran owned business for firms located within the State of Oregon. Firms interested and desiring consideration shall submit Standard Form 330 by close of business, July 5, 2007 to the Contracting Officer shown above. Award is pending availability of funds. This is not an RFP.
