Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source, purchase order for preventive maintenance and unlimited emergency response service agreement with the FEI CO 5350 NE Dawson Creek Dr., Hillsboro, OR 97124-5793. The order will cover maintenance service for a high complexity transmission electron microscope and digital camera system. Instruments are of proprietary nature and include the electronics, electro mechanical, assemblies, multi component integration, optical assembly work, modules, film and high resolution digital camera integration and high complexity tuning needed for this type of service work which would maintain OEM specifications and functionality to fit the requirements. Instruments are located the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); 1600 Clifton Rd.; Building 18, Room 183; Atlanta, GA 30329-4018. Award of a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Part 13 is contemplated. The period of performance is 12 months from date of award. To the best of our knowledge only the FEI Co can satisfy this requirement. Therefore, this procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 6.302-1. However, CDC will consider all responsible sources responding to this RFQ. All questions/concerns about the RFQ shall be submitted via e-mail to Bbiltz@cdc.gov. The RFQ document will be available and posted at this site for downloading. No telephone requests of the solicitation will be accepted. No hard copy of the RFQ will be mailed. It is your responsibility to keep up with additional postings regarding the RFP on the Fedbizopps website.
