- The VA Medical Center in Coatesville, PA is seeking professional A/E services to Upgrade the Boiler Plant Instrumentation in Bldg 14. The A/E will provide a survey of the existing Hays Republic main control panel, boiler combustion, feedwater controls, boiler plant data management hardware and software and boiler plant instrumentation. The boiler upgrade and new control system shall be designed in accordance with VA design criteria. The boiler upgrade and new control system will increase the overall efficiency of the existing boilers. The controls will be state-of-the art digital controls with color graphic display showing the status of all operating equipment. The A/E will provide design options that should consist of three ranges including; short-term solution, mid-term solution and long-term solution. A/E Services to include site investigation and verification of as-built drawings, drawings and specifications, cost estimates, construction period services and site visits. A/E will provide 50% design submission, 90% design submission, and final submission. The work shall meet all applicable VA design criteria and construction standards. The estimated construction budget is between $250,000 and $500,000. The area of consideration for this acquisition is restricted to firms within 100 mile radius of the VA Medical Center in Coatesville. Interested firms must submit two (2) copies of SF330 with appropriate documentation to Contracting Officer (542/90C), VAMC, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320 by close of business Thursday, June 28, 2007. NAICS 541330 applies. This is not a request for proposals. This procurement is set-aside 100% for small business concerns.
