- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award for the provision of providing Solid Waste Removal Services for the inmate population at the United States Penitentiary (USP) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC) located in Leavenworth, Kansas. The successful contractor shall provide trash removal services to include the rental of units, pick-up, exchange units, haul off, maintenance and relocation of trash produced by the USP/FPC. All waste shall be disposed of in an approved landfill, in accordance with Federal, State and city regulations. The Contractor shall provide for rental and maintenance of two (2) 40 cubic yard, hydraulic, self-contained, compacting units, and two (2) 40 cubic yard, open top, roll off containers in various locations that will store the solid waste produced by the USP/FPC. Estimated yearly contract requirements will include approximately 208 pulls per year. The award will be made to the responsible contractor who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government based on price. The Contracting Officer anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery, requirements type contract. The contract period shall consist of a base year with four option years for renewal. The solicitation will be made available on or about June 15, 2007 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation and amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about July 13, 2007. The solicitation is unrestricted for all business size concerns. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 562111 with a size standard of $11.5 million. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
