- Description
- The 96th Contracting Squadron, Eglin AFB, Florida intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed price contract for leasing of mobile trailers and associated components as listed below. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 and Subpart 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. The announcement number is F1TBAP7124A001. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 332311 with a size standard of 500 employees. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. The requirement consists of the following items: Saw, explosion-proof. Ideal machine for cutting explosive materials such as: Magnesium, solid rocket fuel, etc. Cutting in vaporous environments (water proofing) Cutting of hazardous (energetic) materials Machine to be configured with local Explosion Proof control cabinet and remote operating controls with key interlock switches at each location. Configured for full remote control operation with machine commands located at a remote bunker. Inverter blade drive system to allow for infinitely variable blade speeds to be controlled by the operator from the control panel. Coolant is supplied at critical points, guide arms, blade cleaning brush and adjustable flex hose (needed when cutting large cross sections) The machine base is designed with pitch to drain the coolant to common machine bay trough. Max cutting capacity 14 inches high x 16 inches wide; 16 inch rounds Band speed-infinitely variable, 50 to 400 rpm (15 to 120 mph) Band tension-spring loaded by hand wheel Location of all conduits shall be so that it is protected from water, explosive chips, or other debris. This can be done by routing the conduit in an explosion/water proof enclosure. User to approve method selected by contractor. Includes the following standard equipment: Replaceable steel wear parts on bed, Instructions and parts manual, powered band brush, Bi-metal saw band (6 or 8 tpi), multiple index (8X), band door interlocks, swivel head to 45 degrees. Start up and training required at the equipment manufacturing site prior to shipment.
