Description
DHS - Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is in the process of developing a requirement for Industrial Laundry and Fire Extinguisher services required at various CBP locations. CBP is interested in incorporating commercial and industry practices that support this type of procurement. To accomplish this, CBP intends to make industry a partner in all facets of the acquisition process, specifically by providing existing market capabilities, strengths and weaknesses for the acquisition these services. Responses to this RFI will allow the CBP team to incorporate industry input into the initial stages of the program. Note: RFI responses will NOT be shared with other industry suppliers and will solely be used as part of the contract planning process. CBP is also interested in obtaining initial pricing data for these services from vendors with relevant and sustained experience in performance of contracts of similar size and scope. Disclaimer: The following requested information to be provided is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. Any contract that might be awarded based on information received or derived from this RFI will be the outcome of the competitive process. Please reference question number with each response as follows: 1. Company Name, Company Address, Point of Contact, Telephone Number, e-mail Address, and Size of your Organization (i.e. Large Business, Small Business) using Classification Code S Utilities and housekeeping services and NAICS Code 812332 Industrial Launderers and Classification Code as the basis for your response. In addition, identify whether your company is ISO certified and to what level. 2. Responses should identify your organization?s experience with and capability for providing Industrial Laundry and Fire Extinguisher services. This data should be representative for any services you currently provide. This data should be provided in accordance with the matrix, which is listed as an attachment to this RFI. 3. Please provide your capacity for services on a monthly basis and what quantity and delivery/pick-up frequency (between 8am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday) could be devoted to DHS. 4. What are your replacement policies and the criteria used to determine replacement of data provided in accordance with the matrix, i.e. garments become thin, holes in knees, holes in elbows, zipper(s) broken? 5. What are your replacement policies and criteria used to determine replacement of data provided in accordance with the matrix when damaged by customer? 6. What are your procedures for measuring when garments are provided by the vendor? 7. What are your capabilities for providing shirts other than solid colors, i.e. pinstripes or other? 8. What are your capabilities for providing laundry and/or plastic containers for dirty uniforms, shop towels, etc.? 9. What are your delivery procedures, i.e. hangars, bundled, etc.? 10. Do you currently maintain or develop a secure web based (i.e. ?point and click?) ordering system that can service multiple agencies/locations? 11. Do you allow for Government Purchase Cards as a payment mechanism? 12. Responses should identify any current or potential future environmental, regulatory, or manufacturing concerns. ? For example in some locations, fire extinguisher reviews will require ?state or local? fire department cooperation. Any response to this RFI should explain the vendor understands of this situation and action plan or company policy to address this type of situation.
