Description
Request for Information. This announcement constitutes a sources sought synopsis to identify POTENTIAL SOURCES who have the capability/interest to manufacture the Hydraulic System Test and Repair Unit (HSTRU). The HSTRU is a trailer-mounted hydraul ic repair shop for all purpose hydraulic repairs for current and future forces. The outfit consists of a selection of tools and equipment suitable for support of field and sustainment maintenance of hydraulic systems. The tools and equipment are placed i n rugged storage media integrated with a transportable, rapidly deployable, highly mobile, tactical trailer-mounted enclosure. To enable rapid force projection from anywhere in the world, military units need the capability to perform hydraulic hose fabric ation and hydraulic system repair operations. The trailer and tool load will be provided as Government Furnished Material. The contractor shall furnish the trailer-mounted enclosure and integrate the tool load, in accordance with the Description for Purc hase (DFP). The DFP is available on-line at https://aais.ria.army.mil/AAIS/Solinfo/MARKET_SURVEYS/market.htm The estimated quantity over the 5 year period of performance is 699 each. The following information is requested to assist in this market researc h effort: 1. a brief technical description of the item that you could provide that would meet the technical aspects of the DFP, 2. any correspondence showing technical capabilities and 3. a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) based on a 5 Year firm fixed price requirements contract. This ROM should include as estimated price for the Prototypes for a quantity of 4 each. Also a ROM for production quantity breaks for an estimated annual production quantity up to 150 per year. All items shall be warranted as sta ted in the DFP. We do not intend to make an award on the basis of this sources sought synopsis or otherwise pay for the information solicited herein.
