Description

The USDA Forest Service ? Gifford Pinchot National Forest is soliciting prospective contractors to perform services for converting 1194 standing green trees into snags by using a combination of topping and girdling these trees at a 65 foot height. These services are to be performed within specified thinned timber sale units located on the Cowlitz Valley Ranger District. The NAICS code for this procurement is 115310, with a Small Business Size Standard of $6.5 million. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The estimated issue date for the solicitation is June 6, 2007. A contract will be awarded to the offeror representing the best value to the Forest Services based upon price and capability which is a measure of the relevant experience and past performance of the contractor.
