Description
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR NUCLEAR MAGNET RESONANCE SPECTROMETER. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to questions received. For requirement (6) hardware and software which will support the performance of 2D correlation experiments: Q1: How many PCs and/or how many users will need to be able to access the NMR processing and analysis software? A1: One PC connected to the instrument. One user, at a minimum, will require access to the software (potentially up to ten). Q2: Is there a need for electronic data management of the 1D and 2D spectra generated from the instrument? A2: There is no need for additional data management beyond the standard capabilities of the processing software accompaning the instrument. Q3: How many or what percentage of the experiments run on the instrument will be for structure elucidation? How many or what percentage of the experiments run on the instrument will be for structure verification? A3: "Elucidation" is 5%; "Verification" is 95%. Q4: Please let me know if you are accepting bids for used NMR's or if you require a new NMR. A4: A new instrument is required. The due date for receipt of offers is not extended. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on May 14, 2007. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet. These documents reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
